A BIG THANKS TO OUR SUPPORTERS
My Hands for Hope, LLC
The Eco-friendly Cleaning Service with a Purposetm
When Natalynn Roman was undergoing cancer treatment last year, she happened upon a new business venture: housecleaning. The longtime business coach had two epiphanies: the toxic chemicals in household products could harm one's health, and one of the best gifts for someone recovering from cancer is a clean home.
"(During my cancer treatment), if someone had shown up and said, 'I'd like to clean your house,' it would have made all the difference in the world," says Roman, who started My Hands for Hope, LLC, a nonprofit cleaning service specializing in "eco-friendly cleaning with a purpose."
Nontoxic cleaning is only one part of Roman's business model; part two involves helping cancer patients live more comfortably. For every home that a cliet pays to have cleaned, Roman's team will clean the home of a cancer patient for free.
'This is my commitment to helping women with cancer in our community," Roman says.
Because Roman's team cleans with all-natural, nontoxic products, clients can breathe easier knowing that they are not exposing themselves to carcinogens, Roman says. "I recognize the value in having a nontoxic, chemical-free living enviornment - especially for those with acute illnesses like cancer."
My Hands for Hope will be expanding its services over the coming year to offer discounted services to individuals dealing with other illnesses, such as asthma and respiratory disorders. Additionally, the company will egin offering eco-friendly cleaning for corporate offices.
The average fee to clean a 2,000-square-foot home is $90. For more information visit myhandsforhope.com. - Carrie Belt (Sarah Walor Photo)

From busy working moms to stay at home moms, most women love having someone else do the house cleaning.
Now imagine a woman battling breast cancer, tired and sick from chemo treatments, having this done and better yet....for free.
Nat Romans says, "the flowers were great, the cookies were great, that was wonderful. But if you came to clean my house that would make all the difference in the world."
Nat Romans is making a world of difference for breast cancer patients.
Just two years ago, she was one of them. Battling the disease without the energy to clean her home. So when she started her cleaning business a year and a half ago, she partnered with the national non-profit foundation Clean For A Reason and created My Hands For Hope.
Nat Romans says, "they've called us everything from angles, to I love the fact you're done this. Romans provides free and discounted cleaning services to breast cancer patients. Women who might be sensitive to common everyday household cleaning products. Mixing pink with green, my hands for hope uses non-toxic or eco-friendly cleaning solutions.
Nat Romans says, "a basic h as a base, then we mix in oils, t-tree oil and lavender oil which is a natural antibiotic."
All of Romans clients are undergoing treatment and did not want to talk on camera. I talked to one of them by phone and she calls My Hands for Hope a Blessing.
A blessing Romans is happy to share with women who need one less thing to worry about.
If you want to help -- here's how. Clients who pay the full price for housecleaning, allow Romans to offer free and discounted services to breast cancer patients. And here's even more good news, She's expanding the savings to people with breathing disorders like asthma.
We would like to sincerely thank everyone for not only their participation, but also their generous contributions in this year's
